Château Palmer

MARGAUX

Description

Emblematic, authentic, captivating... there is no shortage of superlatives to describe this 1855 Third Growth.
Chateau Palmer is a mainstay of Margaux, the historic home to the world's finest wines. Here, over the course of centuries, the property's wines have been shaped by the hard work of countless men and women. The property is named after its founder, the British officer Charles Palmer, whose wines were enjoyed at the court of the King of England. Later, the estate passed into the hands of the Pereire family, who oversaw the construction of the sublime chateau. Built in the magnificent image of its era, its neo-renaissance architectural style reflects the shimmering beauty of the surrounding vines. Today, the estate, as well as its delightful English gardens, is under the ownership of the Mähler-Besse and Sichel families, who continue to assure the chateau's exceptional reputation.
